Andrew Jakes is the Strata Manager of ACE Body Corporate Management (Sydney CBD), and is a member of Strata Community Association (SCA) New South Wales.

Prior to joining ACE Body Corporate Management, Andrew was an Information Technology consultant for five years at the Strata Industry's leading bank.

His previous IT career in local councils, telecommunications and finance spanned Australia, New Zealand and the UK and always had a strong focus on customer service.

Andrew has extensive experience in property investment, finance and business systems but considers himself primarily a "people person". He was drawn to ACE Body Corporate Management by his desire to bring all these skills together in his own company that would connect him with his local community.

A proud Inner-Westie since arriving in Sydney from the UK in the eighties, he became the first ACE Strata Manager in NSW when he opened the Balmain branch in his home suburb in 2005. He quickly discovered there was a huge need in the community for a strata management company that was small enough to offer a highly personalised local service but also had the resources and back up of a large national group. Many more ACE offices would soon follow to fill this need in Sydney and beyond, leading Andrew to combine his strata management role with Area Development Manager to oversee the growth of the group in NSW.

Andrew is a member of the Licensed Manager Chapter of the NSW Institute of Strata Title Management. And his interests include golf, football (all codes), cycling and having fun with his wife and two children (especially when he’s coaching them in their local football teams).

With his extensive experience in strata management, Andrew is confident about delivering the top-quality strata management services in Sydney and the neighbouring areas.

Alwyn has had a successful career spanning 30 years in sales management roles based across Asia, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Oceania which includes founding and running a successful Australian small business based in Sydney from 2009. Alwyn’s qualifications include Engineering, an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Business (UNSW) and a Strata Management Cert IV from the Australian College of Professionals (NSW). 

Alwyn’s multi-faceted qualifications and experience allow him to manage nuances of daily Strata Management activities with a remarkable attention to detail that many overburdened managers may overlook. Alwyn uses effective people management skills learnt through years of experience managing teams to manage tradies and contractors resulting in cost beneficial solutions to his Strata Plans. This productive approach has resulted in the goodwill of lot owners and committee members alike. His excellent online reviews mirror this customer satisfaction benchmark and has won him accolades from the ACE Head Office team in 2022.

When he is not working, he spends his time in creative endeavours such as oil painting and cooking.
