Andrew Jakes is the Strata Manager of Ace Body Corporate Management (Russell Lea), and is a member of Strata Community Australia (SCA) New South Wales.
Prior to joining Ace Body Corporate Management, Andrew was an Information Technology consultant for five years at the Strata Industry's leading bank.
His previous IT career in local councils, telecommunications and finance spanned Australia, New Zealand and the UK and always had a strong focus on customer service.
Andrew has extensive experience in property investment, finance and business systems but considers himself primarily a "people person". He was drawn to Ace Body Corporate Management by his desire to bring all these skills together in his own company that would connect him with his local community.
A proud Inner-Westie since arriving in Sydney from the UK in the eighties, he became the first Ace Strata Manager in NSW when he opened the Balmain branch in his home suburb in 2005. He quickly discovered there was a huge need in the community for a strata management company that was small enough to offer a highly personalised local service but also had the resources and back up of a large national group. Many more Ace offices would soon follow to fill this need in Sydney and beyond, leading Andrew to combine his strata management role with Area Development Manager to oversee the growth of the group in NSW.
Andrew is a member of the Licensed Manager Chapter of the NSW Institute of Strata Title Management. And his interests include golf, football (all codes), cycling and having fun with his wife and two children (especially when he’s coaching them in their local football teams).
